Hey guys!
Doing this after lovely pearwood started it again :) The first 20 people who comment on this journal, I will look through their gallery and pick my top 3 pieces! Please pass the love around if you decide to join! First ten or fifteen are absolutely fine. Let's discover our fellow Deviants work!

Bonus for :iconpearwood:! Corky at Camp 1 - August 2010 by pearwood 2012-298 Wolf Creek Glen by pearwood Summer evening walk - Jul 2011 by pearwood Go check his gallery, he is amazing! :la:

1. :icondelta-hexagon: and the First Metroid was Born by Delta-Hexagon Out of the Darkness... by Delta-Hexagon Omega Pirate by Delta-Hexagon
Oh yay, another Metroid man! Nice work! The first one is from 2010 but it's nice and stylish and I love it! I see you have been going into more illustration-type work recently. Have you tried drawing and painting from life? It's a bit hard at first, but it's also very fun and challenging, and there is a lot to be learned from it!

2. :iconchronorin: Alexis Kingsley: Rise of the Queen of Scales IV by Chronorin Lin's Metamorphosis IX by Chronorin Lin's Metamorphosis IV by Chronorin Nalla Fernin's Transformation by Chronorin
Whoa, all the lovely and different body types and some very nice variations in character design! if you don't know him yet, I suggest looking for Feng Zhu blog and channel on youtube; You have a very nice and strong character design approach! I think you would really like Zhu's approach to designing stuff.

3. :iconpolarone: Yuki by polarone Reflections by polarone Nahli Colored 2 by polarone
Hey there :D I see you are just starting! Keep pushing it! Shading is not that hard, it's actually quite fun when you start. I like you color work :)

4. :iconsailorlilo: :thumb292426830: :thumb332447809: :thumb338425523:
Yay, I love Lilo and Stitch too <3 It's so awesome! You have a nice start there, keep pushing it! Have you tried giving colored pencils a slower approach? Some Disney stuff goes very well with it - I think you would enjoy it! There are some nice tutorials around for some stuff you can try with them, its very fun, I love colored pencils hehe! And oh, you have some nice photos there too. I'd recommend pushing the contrast a bit more before posting them, it would make them pop a bit more :)

5. :iconsouracid: The Cultist by SourAcid Drapery application by SourAcid Pepper Mini by SourAcid Hand Study 02 by SourAcid
Ooh niiiice work around, and a lot of studies! Love them :D This hand study is pretty awesome! Do you keep a sketchbook thread somewhere? I am pretty sure a lot of people would dig following your studies and progression ;)

6. :iconkomikino: Victory Pose by Komikino Stabby Trio - Banner A by Komikino My Sentra - Transformer-ized! by Komikino
Woot Rich! :D I love Stabby, and that first piece it awesome! I wish I could have seen the banner in person!

7. :iconmiyopriest: .:Request: Amethyst:. by MiyoPriest .:Ib:. by MiyoPriest Miyo: Cookie Dress by MiyoPriest
Waaa such kawaaaiii colors <3 This is lovely! If you don't mind the suggestion, you should try and work your pieces a bit more - I don't know if you enjoy more illustration or graphic design, but you can push it both ways. You can either add a lot more graphic elements to it, handle it like it was a character profile with a nice icons on the background or try full illustrations with a bit more different poses and simple backgrounds. Either would work wonderfully, and you have this very nice feeling to picking a color palette that would just make everything work!

8. :iconnatasherz: :thumb336042807: :thumb308576793: :thumb316187523:
Yay, another Warcraft fan! Very nice work you have going on here! I see we are trying to get to the same point - I also love fantasy illustration and this kind of palette for paintings! You are well on your way, hooray! :) Have you tried painting from life? Its pretty challenging,  and teaches a lot about light and materials - I think you would enjoy and benefit from it. Just set up a couple of objects near your computer, get a lamp to cast some shadows, and paint what you see!

9. :iconseishyn: Your time is almost up by seishyn A Gift Before I Go by seishyn Night Elf Druid by seishyn
Oh nice art! I love how you aimed for those full fledged scenes, backgrounds and a lot of characters! Those are always a bit scary to me, I've been trying to work past it :) You have a lot going on in terms of storytelling in each piece - and that is very nice and hard to achieve! If you want to push a bit more of realism in your work, I'd also recommend drawing and painting from life. I did learn a lot from it :)

10. :iconmarssyw: Potter chasing the snitch by marssyw Animal Silhouette #2- Bird by marssyw Mage and Griffin by marssyw
Hey Marcio! Oh those animal silhouettes are very strong and well defined! They are reading very well there, very eye-catching. And oh, this more dynamic linearts are very nice too - they stand out a bit more than the other lineart. If you like working on this more action-oriented art, I'd suggest you go for it! It's working very nicely!

11. :iconemilyhippieelliott: My Beatles Mural Complete!! by EmilyHippieElliott Paul McCartney by EmilyHippieElliott Guitar Love by EmilyHippieElliott
Hey Emily! Oh whoa, that mural is crazy! That must have been a LOT of work! Awesome :) Nice you finished it hehe I know a lot of people that would just have given up. Your recent anime stuff is pretty nice, I would love to see you spend more time in it - more carefully planned lines and shapes! It would soar :)

12. :iconelinericstam: :thumb339659820: :thumb342750841: :thumb338802670:
Oh yay! Even if you had very few images to chose from, it was still hard to pick only 3 hehe :) Strong images going on here! Lovely lines and colors, and that Snape portrait is awesome!

13. :iconrbl-m1a2tanker: Fierros Cmsn - Spartan Warrior by RBL-M1A2Tanker Cleaver Girl Progression by RBL-M1A2Tanker WolverWoehlk - Colored by RBL-M1A2Tanker
Oooh that spartan piece! That one is very good! You have very character work, man. If you don't mind a few small suggestions, two things I'd like to suggest to you: don't be afraid to pull the contract on metal/shiny stuff. They really do have stark bright spots - they just aren't as bright as your light source, so you can push till almost until white! On in golden surfaces, an eletric-very-bright-light-yellow. :D That would be awesome. And oh, shape contrast too. See on that spartan piece the difference in size you have on between both feet? That adds a lot of depth into the piece - if you can try and push that to the other pieces, I think you can get a pretty cool effect going, and achieve VERY strong images!

14. :iconshadow-saphirae: Lynx by Shadow-Saphirae Hi there! by Shadow-Saphirae Tigress by Shadow-Saphirae
Oh yay, very nice shots <3 Very nice compositions going on them. This gecko shot has this lovely light and color on it, awesome! And pretty sweet lineart too!

15. :iconhitokirisan: Assassins Creed no Brasil by Hitokirisan Sakura and Syaoran by Hitokirisan Realistic Sakura by Hitokirisan
Hey Antonio! Very nice colors going on here! That assassin creed piece is very nice, well done! I see you're really trying to make a push as colorist, and you are well on your way! Anyway, have you tried painting from life? It teaches you a lot, and its really fun :) It was a lot more depth then work solely from photos.

Bouguereau study by wla91

Oh studies! I love studies! And very nice studies at it too :) I really like this latest piece of yours, the sniper one. If you don't mind my nosy suggestion, here: if you look your gallery as thumbnails, see how your studies are eye catching? I think that is because you have a nice contrast going on them, very strong values, you see? If you can manage to push that kinda of contrast in your work, that would be awesome!

17. :icontombernardes: :thumb341835050: :thumb340875522: :thumb340879006:
Yay Tom! I love your stuff man. You have been progressing so much lately it's making me jealous :) Keep going man, it's been awesome. Check his gallery people - he is awesome. And YOUNG! xD

18. :iconrogermed: WitchBlade fanart by rogermed :thumb166060000: Sons of Asgard - SamplePage02 by rogermed
Haha this is another guy I will always have trouble picking only 3 images. And he does not even update, RIGHT? That first one is one image I still love, someday I will steal it and color the heck out of it. Check out his pages guys, he is pretty awesome.

19. :iconmukuro-sama: ID by mukuro-sama - Melancholy - by mukuro-sama - Parappa - by mukuro-sama
Yay! <3 Hey there girl! I love this last linearts you posted. Your graphic design and vector art is very strong, do you know that? It's hard to skip it when browsing your gallery :) I know you have been studying quite a lot too, so cheers! It's really showing nice results if you browse your whole galery!

20. :iconleeles2: Alanis Morissette by LeeleS2 :thumb294688797: Silence Is All by LeeleS2
Yay! No actually, you got the last spot hehe. I really adore your pencils, they are so soft and delicate! The faces you draw are very beautiful :) If you could spend a bit more time and scan your work or have them properly photographed, then push the contrast a bit so it reads a bit better would be awesome! So much has been lost because of the raw photos... Anyway! Love you work, keep pushing it girl!

21: :iconcindyavelino: The Legend of Amarian by CindyAvelino Wings of Light by CindyAvelino Karine -The Cat-Owl by CindyAvelino
Oh Whoa! Some awesome art you have, inspiring :D Very hard to pick only 3, so take my choices with a grain a salt - or I'd have to feature half your gallery eheh. Awesome work girl, keep soaring!

22: :iconalineboni: WIP - Andressa by alineboni SlutWalk by alineboni Rose Tyler by alineboni
Always spot for awesome people, right? <3 I love your portraits girl! And that wip has a nice framing to it - I have a thing for unfinished pieces and this was just so lovely! And I love that idea of photographing sketches with a bit more happening around it! It makes it so.. tangible? Now if only I can be less lazy about my stuff haha xD Awesome work!

23: :iconmorganhowell: B by MorganHowell scizor by MorganHowell toadstool by MorganHowell
Oh yay! Such a nice design gallery I couldn't help but feature too :D Very nice work man! Haha your creatures are amazing, very kick-ass! The only thing I would suggest for you too is to try and study how different materials work - leather, metal, skin, goo, softer/harder stuff. If you can manage to put that into your work, just a bit more, it would be AWESOME!

24: :icongabriela-birchal: The great flood by Gabriela-Birchal Mariana portrait by Gabriela-Birchal Midna comission by Gabriela-Birchal
I couldn't leave you out, could I? <3 hehe. Specially my fellow Dagger! I love this first piece here - the world there is SO BIG and the story going on is so nice! I would just like to see it rendered a bit more - which may be weird to say, since quite a few people says may work is over-rendered. I don't know, really - it its over rendering, or I just like my stuff to look less sketchy, you know? Anyway, keep pushing, I will be following you around here and on CrimsonDaggers forums!

So yeah, I did review the gallery and ended up doing more than I though I would. Hope no one minds the mini-gallery-reviews, really no offense meant! I just like art so much, and I love people being enthusiastic about it - I always enjoy people looking forward for their next level, right?
Thanks for the very nice afternoon every one, it was a delight to see everyone's work!
Now if you have time, please spread the love around and feature people too? It's a nice exercise for you and for the community!

Onto the next one!~
